Even though this was posted a long time ago I think more input should still be accepted. This specific species if animals was a very interesting one. However, I believe that if the species is extinct that we shouldn't try to bring them back. If sitings of them were properly confirmed then should we try to clone them in hopes of helping the numbers to rise. This experiment would be a great help in the near future with helping other species make it back.

See the novel Replica by Bill Clem due out in Nov. 2008. It tells of an ill-fated attempt to clone the Tassie with horrifying consequences. See the trailer at billclem.com

Hey! Thanks for the great info, it is a very touchy subject that I'm sure many will disagree on. I was browsing through a bunch of green websites and blogs and I came across yours and found it very interesting. There are a bunch of others I like too, like the daily green, ecorazzi and earthlab.com. I especially like EarthLab.com’s carbon calculator (http://www.earthlab.com/signupprofile/). I find it really easy to use (it doesn’t make me feel guilty after I take it). Are there any others you would recommend? Can you drop me a link to your favorites (let me know if they are the same as mine).
