Plastic bottles degrade over a long period of time- by the time you&#039;ve kept a bottle for around three months, it starts to release a dangerous amount of chemicals into it&#039;s contents. Heat speeds this process up, and cold slows it down. Try this for yourself- if you have an old plastic bottle, put water in it, put it somewhere warm or hot and leave it for a while. Then compare the taste of the water to tap water. Depending on how old the bottle is and how long you left it, it will taste accordingly bad. If you find the bottle convenient, you HAVE to get new ones after a while, or get one of the non-disposable variety.</description>
